The Beatles Return To The Charts In Their Home Country

The Beatles remain the most successful musical act in the history of the U.K. in many ways. The band regularly claims a spot or two on the music charts in the nation where all four members were born and raised. This week, the group is back on the U.K. albums ranking with one of their most successful releases.

This time around, The Beatles’ 1 reappears on the list of the most-consumed albums in the U.K. The title is back at No. 53 on the tally, returning after not being present on the roster for months.

1 appears on the U.K. albums chart for the first time this year. The last time the title was found on the ranking was back in late 2023. The Beatles’ compilation managed to hold on and find space on the list between May and November of that year.

The beloved rock band earns the loftiest return on the U.K. albums list this week. 1 is one of half a dozen titles that reappear on the roster, and The Beatles’ project almost manages to do so inside the upper half of the chart. Albums from the likes of Nicki Minaj, Take That, Sabrina Carpenter, and Guns N’ Roses all find their way back this frame.

The Beatles’ 1 has now spent 445 weeks somewhere on the competitive ranking. It is far and away the band’s longest-charting title, and none of their other projects are even close to reaching that sum.

1 was released in 2000, and it was marketed heavily as the compilation from The Beatles that all fans–both casual and those who are obsessed with the band–must own. The set went on to become a global phenomenon, selling millions upon millions of copies in its first few weeks alone.

The Beatles earned another No. 1 in the U.K. when 1 arrived. The title spent its first nine weeks atop the albums chart. It is one of the group’s 16 leaders in the country.
