In a recent UK poll, the classic by Queen’s Freddie Mercury was named the best driving music of all time

British drivers have chosen the iconic Queen song by Freddie Mercury as the best driving tune of all time, besting Fleetwood Mac and ABBA. Nothing beats singing along to a rock anthem while on the freeway. And currently, British drivers are voting for the greatest driving tune of all time in a new UK survey. The 1979 Queen hit Don’t Stop Me Now received an astounding 39% of the vote. The upbeat song outperformed Fleetwood Mac’s Go Your Own Way (26%), Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer (33%), ABBA’s Dancing Queen (29%), The Proclaimers’ I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) (28%), and Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer (33%). Over half of respondents to a survey by Direct Line Essentials Insurance said they have a playlist just for road journeys, with an average of 51 songs on it.
